Tari Tari Manga Comes out Prior to Anime

The upcoming original anime Tari Tari is going to release its manga version before the premiere of the anime this summer.

 

  

The recent news has revealed that the Tari Tari manga will start serialization from May 22th, on the June issue of the monthly magazine GANGAN JOKER. It has also mentioned that the manga and the anime will maintain consistency in plot presenting style.

Taking place in the high school in Enoshima, Kanagawa, Tari Tari tells a story of young girls with passions in music. The protagonist Wakana Sakai enters the music department of the high school, but later she quits music for some reason and studies in the common department. In the third year of her high school life, Wakana, together with Konatsu Miyamoto and Sawa Okita builds a chorus club, and reconnects with music.

Apparently, the super hit of K-ON! has attracted the attention of anime producers to music stories in high schools. This summer, P.A. Works which is well known for many successful anime series such as True Tears, Canaan, Angel Beats! and Another. etc is going to animate Tari Tari. What kind of story will it be?
